About
the
2012
event
After eight years of
holding the Steamworks Concours in Gastown. A number
of us got together and decided that the opportunity to bring
together an eclectic group of superlative automobiles and bikes
to show to the public should not be lost. Borrowing upon our
experience organizing the Steamworks Concours we
carried on its tradition of celebrating excellence and friendship
within the collector car and bike community. To this end we have
secured a venue by the ocean at Blackie Spit Park, Crescent Beach.
Continuing in the spirit of the former Steamworks Concours, the 2012 event will mark the
10th year that we have brought together a Labour Day
long weekend gathering of Collector Automobiles and
Motorcycles.
This year’s event will now be a full Concours d’Elegance
format.
We are searching for nominations of exceptional automobiles and
motorcycles to be included in the second Crescent Beach
Invitational to be held on Saturday, September 1, 2012.
We will select up to 80 outstanding automobiles and vintage
motorcycles from Canada and the United States.
There will be a reception on Friday evening August 31, 2012
preceding the event.
Please consider nominating vehicles you feel may qualify from
your own collection or other vehicles with which you are
acquainted. Please pass this information on to anyone you know
who owns a superlative automobile or vintage motorbike that
would meet the high standards of the Crescent Beach
Invitational.
